Full Version: Endangered eels still on the menu in European restaurants.

Once abundant eels have declined by 95% since the 1980s. Fishing and human use of the water systems have all contributed to the decline.
If eels are to survive we need to make some changes. Not serving them as fancy dishes in restaurants  would be a start.

We need to get serious about species survival. If we want a species to survive, we need to stop eating it.
We need to protect the waterways. Maintaining habitats is a big part of species survival. A good start would be taking the eels off the menus of fancy restaurants. If eel wasn't in demand for food, there would be less poaching. If we don't make good choices now, there will be no eels to worry about in the future.
