When Canada Border Services Agency was examining packages at the Vancouver International Mail Center one of the packages had a hole in the side. When they looked in the whole, they saw eyes. When they checked in the package they found a cat.
Did the cat come from China? They don't know. They are treating her as if she was from China. She has been named Precious Cargo and is in a foster home.
The foster home plans to adopt her.

Who knows where the cat is from or how she ended up in a box, in a Vancouver mail center. The good thing is that she was found and looked after and now is going to have a good home.
If it had a hole in the package must have been done on purpose, nothing surprises me any more.
Why would someone mail a cat? They can be shipped legally and safely.

It is difficult to say for sure, but it was probably in order to evade rabies and healthcare certificates (which involve visits to vets and *payment*). Callous and uncaring.
In contrast, the reaction of Canadian authorities and SPCA are wonderful!
I am impressed with how quickly they looked after the cat. She is here now so they are going to make her feel welcome.
I love the name they gave her.
