I am in Toronto and yesterday we had the worst air quality in the world.
Somehow the words, We are number one, just just doesn’t feel good when it is a bad thing.
Our smoke cloud has now reached Europe. Sorry about that.
It is bad for people. We are having trouble breathing.

That makes me wonder about the animals. The sun wasn’t getting through. Bees can’t fly in air that smokey.  Birds must be so confused. It was never full sunshine. So plants were not pollinated. They lacked enough sun for photosynthesis.  So will there be less fruits and vegetables. Will bees be short of food this winter. It depends on how long this goes on. There is no sign of this easing up.

This year Canada is on fire. Previous years it has been Australia and parts of the USA.
As a planet we are in trouble.
We need to do a lot of things, but right now, plant trees. At least they try to clean the air and produce oxygen.
We have had some rain so things are better,  but the wind could  blow the smoke back in again. Or the wind
could blow it the smoke elsewhere..
Wherever it goes, wildlife is at risk.

Here are some articles on the subject.
