Sasha the black bear was born at Marineland. He is three years old and has been moved to Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Parry Sound, Ontario.
When he first arrived he didn't understand trees and dirt. He was shy and quiet. Now, after a good hibernation he has formed a friendship with a bear named Clover. He has settled into a happier, more natural life. He has an acre of woodland and a natural den. He can low live out his life as a bear should live.

I love to hear of animals finding a placement in a wildlife sanctuary after a life at Marineland or any other the animals show amusement parks.
These places exploit animals and use them to make money from tourists. Sadly their animals cannot just be returned to the wild. Sasha was born in captivity.
He would not know how to survive. A wildlife sanctuary gives him the best life possible for a bear who does not know how to be a bear.
