An illegal trafficking network was shut down in Spain and 400 animals were rescued. The group illegally imported cats and dogs from eastern Europe. They were kept in terrible conditions and transported inhumanely. They were sold as healthy animals with papers, but that was fraud.
Some of the animals were raised in puppy mills or bought on line illegally.
Now they have been stopped and the animals rescued.
Spain has now tightened its laws, banning the sale of cats and dogs in pet stores.

One of the shocking things is the vet that was involved in this.
She used her knowledge and her signature on this to make the animal trafficking possible.
I assume she will lose her license.

When ever people try to make money from animals it ends badly for the animals.
It is just fortunate that these 400 animals have a chance at better lives.
