A couple out walking with their dog on a beach on Kangaroo Island spotted something fluffy clinging to a boat marker.
It was a Koala. They contacted Kangaroo Island Wildlife Network. The Koala was brought to safety and as they rescued her, they recognized that she had a baby in her pouch.
They rescued two Koalas, not one.

It is fortunate that they were out walking and were in time to save the Koala. Saving a baby too makes the rescue even sweeter.
Of course they stopped to check on what they saw in the water. That is the important thing. They stopped to check. Many animals have been saved because someone stopped to check.
