There were victories for animals in 2023. They range from Budweiser not cutting off their Clydesdales tails to Ford motors no longer paying to have pigsĀ used in crash tests. After a 1993 PETA campaign Ford stopped using pigs in crash tests. However they paid others to do the testing for them.
Circuses are dropping animal acts. Tourist horse and camel ride operators were exposed for animal abuse and tour operators will no long sell tickets to such rides. That shut them down. There were many more victories this past year.

The road to ending animal abuse is long and it happens one small victory at a time. Each success matters because it opens the way to other victories.
Ending circus acts and closing road side zoos are all part of a change in thinking about using animals for entertainment.
Every victory against animal testing brings us closer to ending all animal testing.
Who knows what victories there will be in 2024. It is early and there is much to hope for.
