Lola was born with malformed back legs. They were able to save one leg, but the other had to be amputated.
Jaunita Mengel had her left leg amputated and she uses a prosthetic limb. When she heard about Lola she was interested. When Lola got a prosthetic she knew the cat was meant for her. Because of her own leg, she knows how to handle a prosthesis. She even knows to warm it a little on a cold day.
They hit it off perfectly.
Then the pair registered as a therapy team. Their visits really help people in many different situations.

Lola couldn't have found a better forever home. She is with someone who really does understand. Together they can really reach people who need a therapy pet visit. Most therapy animals are dogs, but some cats are really suited to the job. Lola is definitely suited to the work.
