A vet tech at the Richmond Wildlife Center wears a fox mask while she works. That is because right now she is feeding a newborn fox kit.
The little kit was found alone in a back alley with its umbilical cord still attached. The mother is gone so the wildlife center is raising the kit. His eyes are not yet open, but it will be soon and they don't want a human face to be the first thing it sees.  They are hoping the fox can be returned to the wild when it is old enough.

That is dedication. Wearing a hot fuzzy mask at work is real commitment to the animals well being.
Because of such dedication the little fox has a chance of a normal life. These people are the real heroes in out world.
