Hello all,

I am teaching ESL in Surat Thani, Thailand and have recently started a charity to try to address the overwhelming number of stray dogs here. It is not common practice to spay/neuter here, which is a big part of why the population of dogs continues to grow. My charity, Help Surat's Strays will raise money to sterilize as many stray dogs as possible.

The dogs here have only the little food found in garbage dumps; they often have broken legs which heal improperly and are no longer weight bearing; and they have mange, ticks, and fleas.

Please help us raise funds to better the lives of our dogs. You can visit either of our sites:

I just approved your thread on another animal forum - and now I see you here, too! I have already checked out your pages and your cause is noble and genuine. So your thread is approved here, too!

I send you every blessing for the wonderful work which you are doing to help dogs in Thailand. When I have more time later I will pass by the fund-raising site to make a personal contribution.
Welcome to the Forum. When I get home from work I shall take time to read the links you posted. It sounds like a good cause.
Thank you for the work you are doing to help the stray dogs. It is good that in many countries now, people are set to tackling the problem in an intelligent and compassionate way. It's sad to see so many dogs in need all over the world.

I just read your Facebook page. Did Wan Chai come back?
How about the name:

I really wish you well with this project.

I shared on Facebook and on Twitter.
You are doing wonderful work. I wish you every success. I hope you raise the funds to build a shelter. Even an old building that could be fixed up would help. Dare we hope that someone will donate a place.
