The wonderful thing is that little Kamina will eventually be fostered by one of the moms and she will have Mondika and Gladys to play with growing up and she will be surrounded by a whole family of gorillas.

I get the Cincinnati Zoo E-newsletter and I followed the story of Gladys. They wanted her to be a gorilla and now she is fully part of the troop with a real gorilla foster mom.
However to get there, keepers wore fuzzy gorilla vests and crawled around on their knees making gorilla sounds and acting like gorillas. The big guy in the video was the real star. He is bulky enough to carry the part well. They did this 24/7, for months, before Gladys could eat on her own. That is dedication and commitment. You have to love and admire these people.

I am thinking of visiting Cincinnati Zoo next year. It is not too far, but I would need to be away several days. I hate leaving my babies.
