Thank-you for your kind thoughts. I feel sad that she is gone, but I knew when I brought her home that she was in trouble. I wasn't sure. She should have started to improve quickly if calcium was the only issue.

Mabel joins that gathering of damaged pets that lived too briefly with me as I tried, but couldn't save them. I don't mind giving them a place to die in peace. It is often all you can do for an animal that is old or damaged.


Jake Krinkle Snake is still my most exceptional rescue, I have now had him 6 years and he has thrived. I didn't expect him to last six months.
