RIP Poppy xx - hungrypigs - 01-22-2015 It's a sad day today. My daughter's guinea pig, Poppy, passed away today. She was looking very frail and old the other day even though she was only a couple of weeks off 3 years. My daughter was ever so upset about it when I told her. She must really miss her special pet. Sadly some guinea pigs just seem to age faster than others. She had good years with you and I know you will miss her. Childhood pets: We owe them a great debt. They teach children so much, about love, life - and death. And, through association, (for most people) a lifetime of compassion for animals steps forth.
