repairing damaged wildlife with glue and tape etc. - Catherine - 09-01-2015 This is a remarkable article. It chronicles how damaged wildlife is being fixed with the oddest things like tape and glue. I can understand fixing a turtle shell. I can even see how they repair bird feathers. Fixing a butterfly wing is way beyond anything I thought possible. Take a look for yourselves. http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/animals/stories/how-save-animals-life-tape-and-glue It just goes to show that we will do anything to help an animal in need. There are some creative people out there. Repairing a butterfly win has to be the most amazing fix it job ever. RE: repairing damaged wildlife with glue and tape etc. - Cibach - 09-02-2015 This is incredible. I have heard of and seen tortoises and turtles with repaired shells, but wing donation for butterflies is just fantastic. The egg shell repair was a brainwave on somebody's part, and replacement feathers!! Whatever next!! Long may they keep coming up with these ideas. RE: repairing damaged wildlife with glue and tape etc. - Catherine - 09-03-2015 I was astounded by what they were able to do It tells me that we should never give up on a damaged animal. The egg is pretty remarkable. I can't believe it hatched. Never underestimate tape and glue. ![]() |
