Finally after many days the Capybaras have been spotted, still in High Park. Why would they leave the park. It has food and water and some shelter.

Just for the record, the Ben Lovatt in the article is a friend of mine. I was at the opening of his museum Prehistoria. It is a really cool, hands on local museum. I got to hold a left handed Neanderthal hand axe. For a left hander that is pretty special.

I am not surprized that he spotted the capybaras.

Well at least everyone knows they are fine. Let's hope they make their way home of their own accord.

They are in no hurry to go home. They have a huge multi acre wooded park with streams and a pond and all the vegetation they can eat. They are quite happy to live wild for now. I think they can even avoid the coyotes by taking to the water.

It may take a while to get them back. They certainly don't feel any need of being recued.
