Meet Iris the Reptile Centre Iguana - Catherine - 12-19-2016 Iris lives at the reptile Centre. The whole place is her home. So Iris goes where she wants to and does what she wants to. We do enjoy her company and she is  interesting. This is Iris helping to fix a tank lid. She is actually sitting on it so maybe it did help. This is Iris at a birthday party we held for Paul who runs the Reptile Centre. She is sitting in the dog's bed checking out the refreshments. This is Iris sitting on the edge of the turtle pond looking out at our Halloween decorations. This is Iris and Daisy dog sharing a dish of fruit. Daisy actually likes mangos and so does Iris. They get along very well. Iris is a beautiful girl and we all love her. She has such an interesting personality. She always comes to me when she wants fresh water. When she wants fruit she goes to the frig. She is clever and interesting. An iguana is less a pet and more a room-mate. We don't mind working with her around. She has been known to break things, but what's a little broken glassware amongst friends. RE: Meet Iris the Reptile Centre Iguana - Catherine - 12-20-2016 Iris really is quite a character. She is fairly intelligent, but she doesn't train like a dog would. She rather thinks that she has us trained. Come to think of it, if she wants something done we do it for her right away and we do it the way she wants it done. We are trained alright. It's nice to see her and Daisy sharing a snack of mango! What a nice girl. She has a perpetual smile on her face too. Yesterday she talked Paul into handing her food up to her one piece at a time while she just lay their smiling. We haven't spoiled her much have we?
