Tree of Life--an event to brighten the life of shelter animals - Catherine - 12-27-2016
Every year the Animal Rescue League of Iowa collects toys and treats for the shelter animals. They do a big Christmas tree surrounded by toys and they let the shelter animals choose what they want.
It is so sweet to watch a shelter dog or cat dig through the many things until they find what they want.
The looks on the dogs faces when they carry away their prizes are wonderful. From a sad shelter dog each becomes the proud owner of a special toy.

Not only were all their lives brightened for a day, they were brightened forever as the animals have all been adopted.
After watching the dog choose a toy and walk away so happy, how could you resist giving the dog the joy of a real home.
