World's primates facing extinction - Catherine - 01-22-2017
The reports that are out indicate that the world's primates are all facing extinction(except for homo sapiens).
This is alarming news. We are on the verge of driving our closest relatives to extinction.

The planet will be infinitely poorer if we succeed in driving our primate cousins into non existence. There are still possibilities for some to survive, but we would have to take it seriously and make some changes in our behavior. Please everyone, let us take this seriously.

This is so very sad. I feel this deeply. They are our ancestors after all. What humankind has done is tragic! I hope they will start helping these populations grow again; give them habitats, stop hunting them!

They are more our cousins than our ancestors and the planet would seem empty without them.
We also need to remember that the things that kill other primates also will kill us. If we drive them to extinction we may also be driving ourselves to extinction.
