Happy news from Toronto Zoo, four African Penguin chicks have hatched. They have three girls and a boy. The zoo started with twelve penguins and now has 27. For a species that has declined in numbers in the wild, this is good news.

Zoo breeding programs of endangered species are very important. When the conditions are right they can return animals to the wild. Some species have been saved from extinction by such efforts.  For now we get to see cute penguin chicks. Heart
