Fur to Feathers - Catherine - 05-02-2017

Fur to Feathers is a different kind of group. The founder, Jane Perry and the volunteers fund raise to help animals, but they don't run a shelter. They donate the money to where ever it is needed the most. They sent money to help animals after the Fort McMurray fire last year. They have also helped with individual vets bills.

It is a creative way of helping animals. I am sure many other animal charities and causes benefit from their help.
It does allow them to be more flexible with their donations. Groups that run a shelter have to concentrate on the shelter.
I am sure it fills a need in the area and Jane is right that money is always needed when there are animals to be helped.
