Albino Orangutans are very rare. Villagers on Borneo Island captured a 5 year old female. Fortunately the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation heard about her and were able to rescue her.

It is hoped that she will be able to return to the wild. If not she can live out her life in a sanctuary where she can at least act like an orangutan.
