Favourite hamster cages. - Reduckto - 12-31-2013 There are so many on the market but which one if your favourite for both you and your hamster? I haven't kept hamsters for a few years now due to a number of reasons but when I did I remember trying to make the cages as intresting as poss. Just a shame we have lost all the old posts from the old forum. I mainly had rotastack cages but then inspired by Cathrines 'storage box method' I attached stroage bins using the pipes. The hamsters loved it but of course still had to have their 'out of cage time' RE: Favourite hamster cages. - Catherine - 01-01-2014 I remember your amazing hamster set ups. If you still have the pictures you should post them. I still like the open bins. I use plastic because it is light and easy to lift for cleaning. A big plastic bin the size of a twenty gallon aquarium is really only $15.00 or less if you watch for a sale. I also never put lids on them because I want to see and talk to my hamsters. I think it makes us more involved with each other. They can see me too, sort of. Hamsters are very near sighted. |
