"The Truth About Animals" is a new book that looks at old myths and mistaken beliefs about various animals. Zoologist Lucy Cooke takes a look at the animals with new eyes and new knowledge. Each chapter deals with a different animal and looks at it in detail. Lucy Cooke is also founder of the Sloth Appreciation Society whose motto is "Being fast is overrated". So the book clears up a lot of misinformation about Sloths and shows them in a much better light.

It sounds like this book is going to be an interesting read. I am sure we all "know" facts about animals that are not backed up by scientific study. It would be good to know what is true and what is fiction or misconception. I think the book will be available through Amazon or perhaps at your local library.
