Squirrel without arms fitted with wheels - Catherine - 05-01-2018
This is so sweet. An injured squirrel was rescued after being caught in a trap. The vet tried to save her arms, but they had to be amputated. Karamel still gets around and has a strong will to live. To give her better mobility she was fitted with a set of wheels.

It is amazing how well the little squirrel has adapted to life without arms and to life with wheels.
You never know when you rescue an animal how things are going to turn out.

Aw! This is fantastic for her. She won't be able to dash up trees, but has a good quality of life nevertheless. The wheels are a great idea. A Squirrel with no arms couldn't cope really. Happy days to you Karamel!

She would never be able to live wild again, but she is happy with the life she has. Even without wheels she was getting around really well. I think the people helping her are amazing. They have found a way to let her run again. Squirrels love to run.
