Pygmy Hippo born at Toronto Zoo. - Catherine - 08-22-2018
This is great news. There has been a hope that Kindia our endangered Pygmy Hippo would give birth some day. That day has happened. Kindia gave birth to a little girl. Perhaps not so little, she was over 5kg at birth and is over 8kg now.

The baby is so cute and I can't wait to go and see her. I have been visiting Kindia since she arrived and she is a beautiful Hippo.
Of course the last time I saw her she was already pregnant, but I didn't know it. It is a little hard to tell.
Considering how few Pigmy Hippos still exist, this is very happy news.
