Border wall threatens animal sanctuaries - Catherine - 10-23-2018

It is a sad fact that the US border wall if it is built will do serious damage to protected areas. Right now a butterfly sanctuary and a state park are at risk. Many animals who inhabit such places are already at risk because of habitat loss. Bulldozing their safe areas puts their very survival as a species at risk.

The wall is an ill-conceived idea that will have negative environmental consequences. The impact of the damage will be felt for generations to come. Many of the animals travel across borders, so a loss of habitat in the USA will effect other countries.
Animals need all their habitats to survive and they need to be able to migrate.

I wish the world as a whole had the power to stop one country from such destructive actions.
