Seal rescues in Vancouver - Catherine - 03-13-2014

I was interested to learn that they have found ways to rescue seals caught in debris. Seals seem to hang around dangerous areas and they get caught in things. Now they have a way to free them. This is good because it was so sad to think of them dying slowly because there was no safe way to help them.

I love the west coast seals. They are beautiful to watch.

It's wonderful that they managed to help them, poor things! There is so much more debris getting into our oceans, from people who can't be bothered to dispose of rubbish safely.

The waste material in the ocean has become a real problem. I am sure that many animals are not rescued and die miserably. Even fish swallow garbage and die from it.

I am just glad someone is trying to help. Maybe the publicity will encourage people to recycle and reduce waste or try to dispose of it safely.
