Valentine's day safety tips for pets - Catherine - 02-09-2019

It is almost Valentine's Day and many  people do celebrate it. There are dangers to our pets that we need to be aware of.
Lily's are toxic to cats so a beautiful bunch of flowers with lilies is a danger to your cat.
Chocolate is toxic to cats and dogs. There is always chocolate around at Valentines day and we need to be careful.
Candles can be dangerous and so can alcohol. A little caution can keep the holiday fun and avoid a tragedy.

I don't have dogs or cats, but I have guinea pigs that could get into flowers. I am careful. I stopped using candles after I got birds because their feathers are around and a bird can get out and a candle would be a danger. There are fake candles that look nice and are not a danger. Whatever pet you have, it pays to be safe.
