Redemption Paws and the large dog rescue - Catherine - 03-06-2019

Redemption Paws is a rescue group that brings animals out of disaster areas. They are bringing another 40 Hurricane Harvey dogs to Toronto next weekend. At the last minute they heard about a group of larger dogs who were about to be euthanized.
Redemption Paws just included the extra 20 dogs in their planned rescue, because that is what they do.

That is a lot of dogs to rescue at once, but the people of Toronto will come through. The dogs will find homes.
Redemption Paws is doing very special work. They bring vulnerable dogs from disaster situations and give them a chance to have a happy life.

The work they do is essential. There are increasingly bad hurricanes and other disasters. Dogs in shelters are vulnerable. When resources are stretched thin, stray dogs are not high priority. Having a rescue group that makes these dogs their priority gives some hope to dogs caught in bad situations. For the twenty larger dogs this help was life saving and just in time.
