The Ocean Art Underwater Photo Competition produced some amazing pictures and some very tragic ones. The oceans are full of plastic and animals are getting caught in that plastic. Turtles are the most noticeable. Far too many turtle end their lives struggling in plastic we discarded.

The image of the dead turtle was heart breaking. He must have struggled until he became to weak and he never had a chance of getting free.
This contest really showcases what we have done to the oceans. There should have been beautiful underwater images. Instead there were dead and dying animals trapped in our garbage.
