Green turtles return to Raine Island to nest - Catherine - 06-14-2020

Using drones they have captured some amazing views of the numbers of turtles returning to Raine Island.
The island is the largest nesting site of green turtles on the planet. The survival of the species depends on the successful egg laying and hatching of these trutles.

As a bonus with the drone video, there is also a video narrated by Sir David Attenborough. The green turtles are in danger, but there is plenty we can do to help them.

Seeing all those turtles at once is wonderful. Maybe there is hope for the green turtle.  Many things humans have done have put them at risk. Now let us hope the things we do can help them. I hope they have a successful hatching season. As soon as I hear something I will post it.
