Bringing back the Corncrake - Catherine - 07-18-2020

In Ireland a vet is running his farm as a Corncrake refuge. The 25 acre farm has a range of plants and animals that are suitable for the corncrakes and encourage them to nest. Their numbers are so low that they need the help. Most local farms are not suitable habitats for the birds. Modern agriculture takes away from nature rather than contributes to it. With this special  Corncrate  farm there is a chance of a population increase.

I have never seen a Corncrate so here is something about them.

They are a beautiful bird. It is fortunate that someone cares enough to help them.
