‘Weganool’, a plant-based cashmere is a 100% sustainable and cruelty-free alternative with quality comparable to that of luxuriant cashmere. It was created by Faborg, an Indian startup

This is the first I have heard of this. It is a great idea. Thanks for posting about it. In every way it seems to be a good product.

I found more articles about the product.

I love the fact that they are using natural plant based dyes to colour the weganool. That makes it an even more natural product.

In so many ways this is a good idea. It would be a sustainable product and it would not use land needed for food. It seems to be a product that produces little waste in its manufacture. It is a cruelty free product. When we put our minds to it we can produce alternatives to things like wool. I hope the idea catches on and the product becomes more available.  I look forward to seeing weganool products in Canada some day.
