Rescues flooded with animals after Hurricane Sally - Catherine - 09-26-2020 In the aftermath of a hurricane there are always animals in trouble. Hurricane Sally is no exception. The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge has taken in 120 animals in a few days. They are desperately in need of supplies and donations, but they are managing to carry on. https://www.nwfdailynews.com/story/news/2020/09/24/florida-wildlife-refuge-cares-animals-injured-hurricane-sally/3502587001/ They have taken in quite a mixture of animals, everything from hummingbirds to pelicans. I am sure the number of rescues will continue to rise as more animals are found. Hurricanes are so destructive and little animals have no way to protect themselves. I am glad there are people there who are able to help. |
