Giant Pandas no longer endangered - Catherine - 07-10-2021

Years of protecting Giant Pandas  and running breeding programs have finally paid off. Their numbers are around 1800 now.
They are still considered vulnerable, but things are looking good for their species survival.
One very important part of the conservation efforts involved protecting and expanding panda habitats  and preserving their food sources.
As the pandas have increased in numbers so have other species that like in the area.
The pandas will still need help, but this is a conservation success story.

The Pandas survived because there was a strong will to keep them alive. Habitats were deliberately expanded and protected.
The efforts have benefited more than just the pandas. When we focus on conservation, we can do it.
Let's hope this is going to be one of many victories.
