Therapy dogs on site of Florida condo tower collapse. - Catherine - 07-17-2021
Rescue workers and worried families have been on sight since the Florida tower collapse on June 24. It has been a hard time and there have been no rescues, only recoveries. It is taking its toll on people. The Lutheran Church K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry has sent a team of 9 golden retrievers to help people cope. They are there to offer comfort and reassurance. They are there to be hugged and people feel better when they hug a dog, especially a golden retriever.

I think it is a terrific ministry. There will always be disasters with families and front line workers who are deeply effected. A little loving support from a therapy dog can get people through the hard times so they can keep doing their jobs. Just seeing nine golden retrievers at once would make a person feel better.
I am glad they were able to send the dogs to help. Once again dogs to the rescue.
