I have no idea what the problem is. Your file looks okay.
I went through your file and renewed all your permissions.
I will send a text message to Bock and see if she can look at things.
Maybe we need to update our software again.
The MYBB web page seems to be okay.

I tried as well and I'm getting an error for the same buttons. I went to the admin because I did notice it said the last version check was 2 weeks ago and I got this when I clicked, "There was a problem communicating with the version server. Please try again in a few minutes."
Then I looked at the Latest MyBB Announcements>
MyBB 1.8.8 & Merge System 1.8.8 Release 10-17-2016, 12:48 PM>
Please view the 1.8.8 changes on the Docs site for more information about the changes in this version.
Please note, that you do need to run the upgrade script for this version.
So it seems we have a script upgrade we need to do.

Thank-you for checking that. I didn't know anyone was having problems. I will need to consult with our tech support person.
I keep track of renewal dates for hosting and the domain and all that stuff. I need to pay more attention to our forum software.
My account isn't experiencing problems so I didn't know.
