Every time the tittle Power of the Dog is mentioned at the Oscars, the online vet service, PAWP, will donate $1000.00 to animal rescues.

That could be quite a large donation before the night is over. It is a very popular film and it is up for a number of awards.
I haven't seen it, but I understand it isn't about a dog. So PAWP is making it about dogs, and in particular, rescue dogs.
