With Halloween coming many homes will have treats around the house. Any sugar free treats with xylitol are very dangerous for our pets. They can't break it down so it can cause seizures and even death. Raisons are toxic for dogs. Chocolate is very bad. The darker the chocolate is the more dangerous it is.

It is good to be aware of the dangers of a particular event. Too many of us will have candy in an open bowl that a dog can easily reach. We will be having fun so we might not think about dangers. It is best to plan for safe treats our pets can have and to store our dangerous candy is a safe place. No one wants to spend Halloween at the emergency vet, especially not our pets.
