Grey whale without a tail spotted - Catherine - 04-04-2023

There is a grey whale out there that likely lost its tail because of an entanglement. They got drone footage of it swimming and it seems to be doing very well.
It is a terrible injury for a whale, but it hasn't slowed this one down.

It was a while ago that this whale was first spotted. There was some question about whether it could survive. Grey whales need to migrate to find food sources. It seems this whale is doing very well. Its will to live is strong and it has somehow adapted. I hope it continues to do well.
