Australian researchers grow replica human lung - Catherine - 04-12-2023

Using human cells and technology similar to 3D printing, Australian researchers were able to grow a replica of a human lung. It is made from human cells so it will respond like human tissue. This means research can be done without animal testing.
This is just the beginning, other organs can be produced.

Animal testing is inherently cruel and gives unreliable results. Animal bodies don't respond to things the way human bodies do.  If we have replica organs we can do testing that will give useful results. There are so many ways that animal testing doesn't work. Now there are starting to be many ways that animal testing can be replaced. The replacements are more reliable and they will spare the lives of many, many animals. Everybody wins....once we actually stop animal testing.
