Protests against future octopus farms in Spain - Catherine - 05-22-2023

Animal rights activists have started to protest against the farming of octopuses. They are solitary, intelligent creatures who will not do well in captivity.
The laws will not be enough to protect them from abusive circumstances.

Factory farming is not suitable for the animals we are already exploiting. Why would we consider adding another species to the list of exploited animals?
The answer as always is money. They think they can make money if they can mass produce octopuses. Is there no limit to what we will do for money.

Do we really need to eat octopus? No matter how good people think they taste, surely they can forego the products of animal cruelty.
We must have better standards than that.
