Extreme temperatures in some areas are killing coal reefs - Catherine - 07-29-2023 The world is experiencing the hottest temperatures in record. This is effecting the ocean temperatures. In turn the coral reefs exposed to these temperatures are experiencing bleaching. Corals in this state can recover, but if conditions don't improve they can die. Coral reefs are essential to the health of the oceans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji-HLotYk3k We are seeing first hand the effects of global warming. On the land things are burning. In the the oceans, things are dying. It is not too late to do something, but we do need to act quickly. I hope they find a way to save at least some of the coral. |
