Six Komodo Dragons hatch at Florida Zoo. - Catherine - 09-16-2023

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo in Florida has just hatched out 6 little Komodo Dragons.  Only they are not so little, they are 10 inches long at hatching. It also took 9 months in an incubator to hatch them. So,well done, Lowry Park Zoo.

They are so cute! They are a very intelligent lizard and you can see it in their alert faces. They are very aware.
Komodos are endangered and they only live in one place in the wild. Having the captive population increased by 6 is a good thing.
They were fortunate enough to have 3 females and 3 males. I hope they keep us posted as the babies grow. They can have beautiful colours.
