Yes Fat Bear Week really is a thing. Every year you get to vote on which Alaskan bear is the fattest. This time of the year, the bears have been fattening on salmon in preparation for winter hibernation. Some of the bears are pretty chunky.

I think Grazer looks pretty chunky. He is not just fluffy. There is a lot of bear there.

I just checked and my choice of chubby bear has won. Big female bear 128 Grazer has won Fat Bear Week. Young male 32 Chunk is the runner up.
