Chimps and other primates are dying from things like the common cold. They are catching it from us. It took years of study to find out what was killing chimps, but it has been confirmed by research in the field. Humans who interact with primates are passing our viruses to them.
The biggest source is tourists on ecotours. They do not take basic health safety precautions.
