A beaver dragging branches along Toronto's harborfront - Catherine - 01-27-2024

People walking along Toronto's harbor front got a surprise. There was a beaver on the sidewalk with them dragging a large branch.
He is a tough little beaver and he got his branch safely home.

Beaver are becoming more common in the city. We have had a beaver in a subway station. Now they walk along our sidewalks.
It looks like he has a fallen branch that he is dragging along. We get a lot of branches coming down in wind storms. Maybe if we had more beavers, they could clear the streets after big storms. The city crews work as fast as they can, but I bet a team of beavers could do it faster.
