The frozen zoo - Catherine - 03-04-2024

In some ways the Frozen Zoo is the ultimate animal rescue. It has the possibility of rescuing whole species who are already extinct.

The Frozen Zoo is the ultimate act of hope for many species. They could possibly bring back a species that is now extinct.
A species that is still alive, but has few survivors and limited gene pool, could benefit from some genetic diversity.
The Frozen Zoo is not well known. It has quietly been doing the work of saving animals through frozen tissue for many decades.
The people working there don't get the recognition they deserve. They are true conservation heroes. They are the last hope of a species facing extinction or even already extinct.
