Marineland Ontario has been fighting against charges of animal cruelty. They were accused of keeping three young bears in cramped unsuitable quarters.
They have finally admitted the facts and they were found guilty.

Okay, they were found guilty. Now what. Marineland has been in the news many times over animal abuse charges.
This time they were found guilty. Now what? Will they be fined? Will they be shut down?
There should be some consequences. I will believe it when I see it.

From the article you cited, Catherine: "Marineland faces a maximum fine of $100,000 for the first count and a $250,000 fine for the two subsequent counts. There is no minimum fine."

For Marineland, that is small money compared to its large income.

They make millions so the fine would be nothing to them.
They haven't actually been fined yet. They could be, but I will believe it when I see it.
They have been getting away with things for years.
