Turkey plans to cull street dogs - Catherine - 07-01-2024

Turkey has a plan to round up the country's 4 million street dogs. Any dogs not adopted in 30 days will be culled.

If this goes through, it will be brutal. Four million dogs could be killed. There are less drastic ways of controlling the number of dogs. Neutering them would cut their numbers down. Vaccinating them would reduce the risk of rabies.  I hope the government will take a less brutal approach, but I fear it won't.
